Cervantes one said:
All sorrows are less with bread
I’m confident Cervantes knew exactly what he was saying when he pronounced those words. For what is life without food and all the wonderful things that are associated with it?
I’m pretty much a sucker for everything food-related. I’m not a huge fan of cooking (I’ll give you that), but I greatly enjoy eating, especially when it’s combined with time I spend with family and friends. Being Italian, food and the consumption of food have a much larger meaning than just eating for physical reasons or because hunger comes knocking at our door. There’s a whole social aspect behind the consumption of food—hence family lunches and dinners lasting an hour or more.

This section of my blog will be dedicated to all things food related—from simple family recipes to restaurant reviews in Italy and beyond. Being a full-time working mom with two young kids (and no help, except my husband who also works full time, and certainly shares every task related to kids and household with me), I know how difficult it can be to come up with different meals every day—especially meals that don’t have to be cooked in the oven for hours on end, or that require more than a 10 minute preparation time.
So if you’re in the mood to learn new recipes (and the history behind them), or read my restaurant reviews, this section of my blog is the one of you.
